How Far Along: 23 weeks
Size of baby: Month 5 – Baby is the size of a papaya, 10.5 - 12 inches long and weighs about 1 - 1.5 lb.
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With her sense of movement well developed by now, Peyton can feel me dance. And now that she's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, I may be able to see her squirm underneath my clothes. Blood vessels in her lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that her increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing her for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as Sammy barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze her when she hears them outside the womb. I may have to stop the trucker mouth I have now ... or at least she will know when I'm driving. :)
Maternity Clothes: Loving my new maternity jeans. I spent a little money on them and have gotten tons of compliments of them – people don’t know they are maternity jeans. C has said to me a few times – shocking – how much he loves the jeans. Makes me feel good to wear clothes that fit and highlight the bump.
Weight Gain: I apparently am up to 10 lbs. Eek. I want to call an audible on this stat … because when I weighed myself this morning, I was up a total of 8 lbs. So, we’ll see how this whole thing shakes out. :)
Belly: Too come. Sorry I’m never good on this.
Stretch Marks: None so far. Though I’m noticing more blue veins on my belly now. And a ton of peach fuzz …
Sleep: Sleep is sleep. I long for it, but no longer look forward to it because I know I will be tossing and turning all night.
Best Moment of the Week: Just being pregnant is the best moment of the week.
Movement: She is a mover and a shaker. I feel her move quite often. I ate Indian food last night and mid way through she must have caught a taste of it, because she was bouncing off my walls. :)
Symptoms: I'm getting a little tired again, but that might be from the lack of sleep I'm getting.
Food cravings: No more consistent cravings.
Gender: My little Miss Peyton.
What I Miss: Feeling good. I caught C’s cold on Monday and have been struggling through work with it. Can’t wait for tomorrow so I can lounge around for a bit.
What I'm Looking Forward To: Registering. My baby shower date is set and C is out of town for a few weeks in March, so we need to do it next weekend. I’m excited to go “shopping”
Weekly Wisdom: Drink tons of water. I know – I already said this, but it is very wise advice.
Milestones: In 6 days, I will be at viability mark. Now I want her to stay in there a bit more, but it’s nice to know if she decided to make an early appearance, she would have a good chance.
Emotions: Cry easily. I had my 23/24 wk appt today and I was not happy. My appt was at 8:45 and I wasn’t seen until 10:20 and it was for about 2 mins because I had a 10:30 meeting I needed to get to. I was so pissed that I didn’t get a chance to ask her anything I wanted to. So I drove to my office and told the people I had the meeting with I’d be right in and went to my office and cried. I’m such a wimp.
You must tell me what brand of jeans these are and which store you bought them from!!

@Steph - on the Destination Maternity website. The one I've been wearing and C loves is under Bootcut Jeans - Secret Fit Belly™ Stitch Detail Boot Cut Maternity Jeans and I also bought the Long Secret Fit Belly™ 5 Pocket Straight Leg Maternity Jeans - under the Straight Leg Jeans section. I love them both!!!
